Implementing Envisio for VPFO strategic and business plans

In the past, strategic planning at the VPFO was done at the portfolio level, while business plans were developed by departments independently with minimal inter-department transparency. There was also a lack of consistency in collecting data and tracking processes.

With the support of VPFO’s Leadership Team, Operational Excellence’ Business Intelligence Team led the selection and implementation of Envisio, a cloud-based strategic planning software, to support the development and tracking of the VPFO Strategic Plan and department business plans.

To help users navigate the new tool, our team has facilitated seven training sessions with an attendance of almost 200 users across the VPFO, in addition to creating online resources, such as manuals and on-demand training videos, available on the Envisio Resources page.

As of September, every department in the VPFO has entered their business plan into Envisio. This is the beginning of enhanced alignment of business objectives with the VPFO Strategic Plan, up-to-date progress updates, and better visibility of alignment with stakeholder and strategic objectives.
