Collaborating with Financial Operations to deliver key metrics for the UBC community
As the university prepared for the implementation of the new Workday system in 2016, UBC had an opportunity to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement.
Through the Procurement Modernization project, which simplified the way UBC buys and pays for goods and services, Financial Operations has achieved significant success. From reducing turnaround times for purchase orders and employee expense reimbursements to creating a vendor website and paying invoices faster, these improvements help almost everyone in the UBC community.
While significant progress has been made, Financial Operations is committed to continuous improvement. While they continue to focus on improving day-to-day operations, our team continues to collaborate with them on key monthly service delivery metrics, so they can monitor and improve UBC’s procurement processes and service delivery.
