Helen Shen joins Operational Excellence as Continuous Improvement Program Manager

We are pleased to welcome Helen Shen to Operational Excellence as Continuous Improvement Program Manager, reporting to Alex Fiuza, Senior Manager Service Excellence Transformation (SET), effective October 3, 2022.

Prior to joining UBC, Helen was the Manager of Special projects at School District No. 38 (Richmond), where she led multiple business process reviews, process improvement, and change management initiatives to ensure smooth operations of the Offices of the Superintendent and the Board of Education.

Leveraging her robust experience in continuous improvement and problem solving, in addition to her passion for driving efficiency and collaboration, Helen will play a key role in enhancing and delivering continuous improvement projects across UBC.

Helen holds a Bachelor of Arts from UBC, a Human Resources Management Certificate from BCIT, and a Master of Law from Tsinghua University, as well as certifications in Change Management, Scrum Master, and Lean Black Belt.
