Operational Excellence celebrates Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Graduates in inaugural celebration event

Last year, Operational Excellence began partnering with UBC Sauder School of Business – Executive Education to deliver Lean Six Sigma training for leaders and professionals at UBC.

On May 25, Operational Excellence hosted its first ceremony event at the Great Hall North to celebrate the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt graduates’ achievements and hard work.

Our Yellow Belt graduates completed a rigorous program to become officially certified as Lean Six Sigma practitioners, playing an integral part in shifting our culture to develop and strengthen our workforce to shape UBC’s next century.

“At the core of continuous improvement is our effort to generate value, remove barriers, and deliver consistent high-quality services,” said President Santa Ono in his opening speech. “UBC will be looking to [these graduates] as leaders to work beside units across the university to build our culture as an organization that executes on excellence.”
