Janice brings a wealth of knowledge in change management, continuous improvement, and strategic planning to the university. With a collaborative and relationship-building approach, Janice has successfully led high-performance teams and organizations through strategic initiatives throughout her career.
Passionate about effectiveness and connecting the dots between strategy and implementation, Janice works across the VPFO and UBC to analyze key operational performance metrics and determine how we can create and deliver synergies, both structurally and operationally.
Her professional experience is supported by a robust academic background with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Royal Roads University and certifications in Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Project Management, and Leadership in Educational Facilities.
Janice strives to build inclusive communities and to support those in need. She has volunteered with a variety of organizations, including Big Sisters, the SPCA, and the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program. In her spare time she likes to take on challenges that push her personal capabilities, including completing endurance ultra-marathons and long distance cycling adventures with her husband.
